Working Principle
1. **Gas Inlet**: Contaminated gas enters the tower at the bottom.
2. **Spraying Phase**: Scrubbing liquid is sprayed downward, creating a counter-current or cross-current flow with the rising gas.
3. **Pollutant Removal**:
- **Absorption**: Soluble gases (e.g., SO2, HCl, NH3) dissolve into the liquid.
- **Particle Capture**: Dust/particulates collide with droplets and are trapped.
- **Chemical Reaction** (if applicable): Reagents (e.g., NaOH, lime slurry) neutralize acidic/basic pollutants.
4. **Demisting**: Cleaned gas passes through a demister to remove residual moisture.
5. **Gas Outlet**: Purified gas exits the tower, while spent liquid is treated or recirculated.
